+ April 23, 2021 NORMAN Galon, one of the four crew members of cargo ship LCT Cebu Great Ocean who died after the ship ran aground near the shoreline in Surigao del Norte, has reunited with his family after his body arrived at Pier 1, Cebu City, early Friday morning, April 23, 2021.
Norman s body was immediately sent to the Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes before he went home to Sitio Galaxy, Barangay Danglag in Consolacion, Cebu.
He said that the last time they heard from Norman was on Sunday, April 18, 2021.
Norman called his wife informing her of his situation that the LCT Cebu Great Ocean ship has already tilted due to the big waves and strong winds brought by typhoon Bising.
Grant Johnson said it was his brother, Mitchell Johnson, who started helping a family friend s daughter take care of Clydesdale horses.
Eventually, Grant Johnson s parents, Dennis and Linda Johnson of Springfield bought their first Clydesdale in 1990. The family stable, Linden Clydes, still has seven of the iconic horses.
Grant Johnson now works full-time for Anheuser-Busch-In Bev s eastern hitch of Clydesdales in Merrimack, New Hampshire, but he s back in Springfield this week for the 2021 National Clydesdale Sale that begins a three-day run at the Illinois State Fairgrounds beginning Thursday.
The sale is open to the public, Johnson said.
Johnson said his entire family, including another brother, Dustin from Morton, volunteers with the sale, which has a connection to Springfield and the fairgrounds going back to the mid-1980s.

After a long four years stranded at sea in an abandoned ship on the Suez Canal, a sailor was finally cleared to leave and go home.
Syrian sailor Mohammed Aisha was permitted to leave his cursed ship after spending nearly four years alone in squalor just off the Egyptian coast.
According to a report from the BBC, Aisha boarded the MV Aman in May 2017 and was promptly named chief officer of the vessel. Two months later, however, his voyage went awry when Egyptian port authorities detained the cargo ship because its safety equipment had expired.
